This course reflects much of what Michael has learned and uses to reference both his work and his life. It will help give you a clearer reference for what matters in your life and work and how to show up there. The course covers the essence of Yoga Philosophy, the teachings of the Buddha, and principles of contemporary psychology that harmonize with them and are now supported by neuroscience. A fascinating 5 days in sunny Vancouver in summer – one of the nicest places to be in North America at this time of year. Credit for Yoga Therapy Training and Yoga Teacher Training and CEU’s also available.
Yoga Therapy, The Buddha, and Neuroscience
Yoga Yoga, Austin, TX September 8-10
Michael will highlight aspects of ancient yoga as well as the teachings of the Buddha that focus directly on the process of change in human behavior. He will demonstrate how they relate to current neuroscience and recent developments in psychological theory and practice. These approaches have relevance to and are being successfully engaged with various populations including cancer patients, trauma survivors, and veterans, as well as in marriage and relationship counselling. Michael’s workshops are eligible for CEU credit hours for IAYT, Yoga Alliance and for therapists in CA and elsewhere. Two experiential application workshops on Saturday and Sunday will follow Michael’s Friday evening talk.
