Program Description

The Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapist Training Program (IAYT Accredited) is a 2-year program starting in April of each year. The program runs for 24 consecutive months with four Semesters – each semester begins with an on-site 11-day Residential Session (April, Oct, April, Oct) followed by 5.5 months of live webinars, independent learning, mentoring, and supervised practicum.

4 Semesters. Each semester includes:

  • 11 days of residential learning in Estes Park, CO
  • 5.5 months distance learning (online and independent)
  • Supervised practicum

Residential Sessions schedule:

  • Day 1 – arrival by 4pm Mountain Time
  • Days 2-10 – full course days
  • Day 11 – departure no earlier than 1pm MT

 

Program Enrollment Options

 

Option 1 — $17,000

Two Year Program – Yoga Therapist Certification (includes all 4 semesters)

Option 2 — $11,500

One Year Program – 300hr RYT (Semesters One and Two)

Option 3 — $6,000

Six Month Program – Non-Certificate (ideal for those who wish to integrate the PRYT Method into their current work as a licensed healthcare or yoga professional) (Semester One)

 

Prerequisites for Enrollment in All Programs

AND

  • 200 hr Yoga Teacher Certification with 1 year of yoga teaching experience,
    OR
    Professional healthcare license (ie: psychotherapist, physical therapist, occupational therapist, massage, etc.)

 

Enrollment Process

Admission is by Application and Interview.

Enrollment mid-program or -semester is not permitted. Students enrolled in either the One Year or Six Month Program may transfer into the Two Year Program conditional upon available space and review of prior coursework.

Application Process

Applications are available online at pryt.com. Application early decision deadline is December 15, 2020. PRYT will accept applications on a space-available basis until January 25, 2021.

Once received, Applications will be reviewed by the PRYT Faculty and an interview will be scheduled with the candidate. Acceptance will be determined and the candidate notified within 30 days of Application. Two Year Program applicants will receive priority placement.

There is no fee to Apply. A Deposit of $750.00 is charged upon acceptance.

 

TUITION

 

Tuition covers

  • All residential courses
  • Online webinars
  • Supervision & mentoring
  • Access to faculty & support staff
  • PRYT course manuals

 

Tuition does not cover

  • Travel to or from the Residential Sessions
  • Room & Board at the Residential Sessions
  • Any communication/internet service charges
  • Internet platforms such as Zoom, Google, etc.
  • Audio-visual tools or services
  • Books for required or recommended reading
  • Payment for Yoga Therapy sessions received as part of the Practicum
  • Late Fees
  • Charges for any additional supervised work that may be required for satisfactory completion

 

Deposit

A $750 is charged upon acceptance into the program. $150 is non-refundable. $600 is refunded if the student withdraws by end of day February 15, 2021. After that date, the full deposit $750 is non-refundable.

 

Tuition & Payment Schedule

Payment options: Tuition may be paid in a single lump sum for each year or it may be paid by semester.

Early Payment Discount: There will be a 10% discount for payment in full for two semesters at a time by 60 days prior to the Residential Session start date.

Due Dates: The initial payment is due 60 days prior to the first Residential Session. If paying by semester rather than as an annual lump sum, each subsequent payment is due 30 days prior to the start of each semester’s Residential Session.

Tuition due varies based on the student’s Program commitment.

Option 1 – Two Year Program – Yoga Therapist Certification

Total: $17,000 (includes deposit)

Year One: $10,500

        • Deposit: $750   due upon acceptance
        • Semester 1: $5,250   due on or prior to February 15, 2021
        • Semester 2: $4,500   due on or prior to September 14, 2021

Year Two:  $6,500

        • Semester 1: $3,250   due on or prior to March 22, 2022
        • Semester 2: $3,250   due on or prior to September 20, 2022

Option 2 – One Year Program – 300hr RYT

Total: $11,500 (includes deposit)

        • Deposit: $750  due upon acceptance
        • Semester 1: $5,750  due on or prior to February 15, 2021
        • Semester 2: $5,000  due on or prior to September 14, 2021

Option 3 – Six Month Program – Non-Certificate

Total: $6,000 (includes deposit)

        • Deposit: $750  due upon acceptance
        • Semester 1: $5,250  due on or prior to February 15, 2021

If you are an existing student who has already completed some coursework prior to 2021, your tuition will be prorated. Please contact office for details.

 

Tuition & Program Completion

Training Program is not considered complete and a Certificate will not be mailed until completion of all academic program requirements as well as complete payment of all financial obligations, including fees.

 

BILLING

 

Billing Requirements

We request a billing profile to be set up for each student with a current credit/debit card or active bank account for ACH payment. We accept all major credit cards – Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover. For each Semester, the tuition fee as outlined above will be automatically billed to the credit/debit card or bank account that the student authorized to be held on file during the Application process. Receipts will be sent via email confirming each transaction.

For accounts that are not set up for auto-billing, an invoice will be sent via email and may be paid by Visa, Mastercard, Amex and Discover or check. Please be aware that payments that are not made by the designated due date for each Semester will be charged a late fee of $5 per day. An additional $35.00 return check fee will be charged on all checks returned by the bank as well as on all declined Credit Card payments.

 

FINANCIAL AID

We recommend that students explore financial aid and grant opportunities that may be available through state or other governmental agencies, professional associations, and non-profit grantors. PRYT is happy to provide whatever documentation may be required to assist in that process.

For students who are military spouses, PRYT is an approved MyCAA education provider. Only the first two semesters may be covered, up to $4,000, as part of either the One Year Program 300hr RYT or the Two Year Program Yoga Therapist Certification and 300hr RYT.

For financially-qualifying students in Vermont, VSAC offers Advancement Grants for which our programs qualify. You can receive an Advancement Grant for up to 2 courses per enrollment term—up to 2 enrollment terms per financial year (July 1–June 30) and 6 enrollment terms total. Grant amounts vary by student and by year, depending on available funding. First come, first served until funding runs out, so it is best to apply as soon as possible.

 

CANCELLATION & WITHDRAWAL POLICY

 

Cancellations by PRYT

We reserve the right to cancel any program or training. In the event of a full cancellation by PRYT, students will be refunded in full.

Cancellation or Change by Student

By end of day February 15, 2021 (60 days prior to the training start date):

    • $600 of the $750 Deposit may be refunded. After February 15, the full deposit amount is non-refundable.
    • Tuition above the Deposit amount that has been paid up to February 15 may be refunded in full.

Between February 16 and end of day March 1, 2021 (45 days prior to the training start date):

    • $750 Deposit is non-refundable.
    • 60% of the tuition above the Deposit amount that has been paid up to February 15 may be refunded.

After March 1, 2021:

    • There is no refund (of either Deposit or tuition paid) for cancellations after this date.

Withdrawal after Cohort start:

    • Once a Residential Session has initiated, tuition paid for that Semester will not be refunded.
    • All changes or withdrawals requested during a semester will incur a $50 non-refundable processing fee.

 

For the avoidance of doubt, written notice of cancellation must be received (email shall suffice) by the PRYT Office. Notice should be sent to: either registrar@pryt.com or PRYT, Inc., Attn: Registrar, PO Box 200, Bristol VT 05543.

 

RESIDENTIAL SESSION ACCOMODATIONS

Residential Sessions are 11 days in length (10 nights). Students are responsible for their own residency room reservation. PRYT reserves a block of rooms for the program and provides the reservation contact information. Students must communicate to the venue that they are requesting a PRYT-reserved room.

Rooms vary from single to multiple occupancy. Selection is first-come, first-serve. Nightly rate will vary accordingly to occupancy, ranging from $134 at the top down to $65.

All meals are included from dinner on the first day through lunch on the final day.
