Phoenix Rising Staff
Lori Bashour
Director of Marketing and Administration

Co-Founder of PRYT, Lori has been instrumental in our growth and development for over 30 years. Currently our Administration and Marketing Director, Lori has had her own practice as a massage therapist, yoga teacher, and adjunct course director over the years. She now happily settles into her admin role as well as “manages the talent” (Michael Lee, her husband and Founder).
Lee Shinefield
Admissions Advisor

Lee began his journey with Phoenix Rising in 1986 and was the first graduate of the PRYT certification program. His first job with PRYT was apprenticing with Michael, and then he was the first point of contact for people exploring PRYT programs. Lee offered YT sessions to all interested, co-facilitated workshops and training programs with Michael. He also did outreach, offering the work to the public as well as within organizations, for example Desisto School for “at risk” teens and Jacob’s Pillow dance company. In the mid-’90’s, Lee stepped away from PRYT to heal from an accident and disability. He returned around 2010 and became the Admissions Advisor when Michael and Lori also returned in 2014. Lee deeply believes that all human beings have within them a personal blueprint for full self-expression, purpose and happiness. His passion and joy is to facilitate people in connecting to their inner architect and bringing their unique plan to life.

Carolyn Ashby

With a lifelong habit of intellectual curiosity, Carolyn has racked up a wide variety of professional experiences over the years, including forays in Russian language, non-profit management, and fine crafts. Currently, she delights in exercising her left-brain talents juggling student data, creating spreadsheets, and providing administrative support to PRYT’s academic team. She is most likely the person on the other end of the email or phone when you contact PRYT and can connect you with the information you need or the right person for that next conversation. She has practiced Ashtanga yoga at Bristol Yoga (now the Village Shala) in the past, but currently concentrates her physical practice on working in the yard and garden of her new home.
