This course reflects the practical application of ancient wisdom to modern life. It covers the essential themes of philosophy from the teachings of ancient Vedic yogis and the Buddha to the development of western philosophy, contemporary psychology and neuroscience. This course uses therapeutic yoga practice as a way to embody the aspects of the philosophies covered and gives the students a reference for what matters in their life and service.

Prerequisites: None. Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy Essentials is highly recommended.

Required Pre-course Reading List: Yoga Sutras of Patanjali (by Georg Feuerstein), 
Bhagavad Gita (by Eknath Easwaran),
 Dhammapada (by Gil Fronsdal)
