This course introduces the student to the fundamental elements of facilitating the Phoenix Rising method for an individual or group yoga experience. By using the physical experience of yoga as a portal, students learn to facilitate the deeper elements of embodied self-inquiry to gain insight and awareness into beneficial life changes. Students learn to overlay inclusive, adaptable, and trauma sensitive instruction with educational, present-centered, embodiment coaching that leads to deeper awareness of the connection between one’s physical experience and one’s life experience. This course is highly experiential including delivery of public classes, peer teaching and observation, and self-evaluation and self-mentoring.

Format: 7-day residential course (offered as either an intensive or weekend series). Starting in 2020, residential will be followed by a mentored practicum.
Dates: July 18-24, 2019 Great Barrington, MA; October 4-7 & 11-14, 2019 Rochester, NY; October 10-13 & November 7-10, 2019 Charleston, SC
Schedule: May vary by location. Course typically starts with 8:00am Check-in on first day; 8:00-6:00pm daily with some variation to lead public classes. Charleston weekend sessions will begin from 3-8pm on the first day and the weekend schedule will vary. Rochester courses begin from 6-8:30pm on the first day and run 8am-6pm over the weekend.
